Electrolysis

Hair Removal

Electrolysis is a method of permanent hair removal where a tiny, sterile needle is inserted
into each hair follicle, delivering an electric current to destroy the hair root. It is the only FDA-
approved method for permanent hair removal and works effectively on all hair colors and
skin types.

Process

  • A fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle.
  • A small electrical current damages the follicle's root, stopping future hair growth.

Sessions Required

  • Hair grows in cycles, meaning multiple sessions are necessary to target all hairs in a
    treatment area.
  •  The number of sessions depends on the hair type, treatment area, and individual
    growth patterns.

Benefits

  • The only FDA-approved method for permanent hair removal.
  • Works on all hair colors (unlike laser hair removal, which is less effective on light-
    colored hair).
  • Suitable for almost any body area, including sensitive zones like the face and bikini
    line.
    1. Time Commitment
    ○ Each hair is treated individually, making sessions time-intensive.
    ○ Multiple appointments are necessary to achieve desired results.

Skin Tag

  • A thin needle is used to apply a small electric current to the skin tag.
  • The current cauterizes the tissue, drying up blood vessels that feed the skin tag.

Results

  • The skin tag is removed almost immediately.
  • The skin returns to normal quickly, with no or minimal scarring.

Duration

The process usually takes 5–10 minutes. Treatment time depends on the number and size of skin tags.

Side Effects

Possible small scabs or dry red marks that typically heal within 7–10 days.

This method is valued for being non-invasive, quick, and leaving minimal residual effects. However, proper care should follow to ensure optimal healing.
